Keith Bryan Pathfinder Saddle, SOLD!

This saddle had three test rides because it had become too difficult for me to do the barn work and have time and energy to work with my horse in a completely undeveloped environment.
It was never fitted so the flocking is original. I kept it indoors on a saddle tree. Other than creases on the billet straps it is new.
Keith Bryan was a master saddler to Queen Elizabeth’s calvary in addition to designing dressage, jumping and other saddles in Britain. His Pathfinder resembles the Icelandic saddle designed for week long droving rides, herding horses to and from seasonal pastures. It is meant to be ridden in all day, with such beautiful leather on the quilted seat. I had D-rings installed on the cantle and pommel. Loxley with Bliss of London bought the business when KB retired, but his saddlers went with his patterns and are still making his designs.

The tree gullet width is 6 inches (semi-QH size).
The fenders were originally designed for a person who is 5'9', and were modified several years ago so that they could be adjusted to fit a shorter person (5'4").

Basically brand new. It has been ridden in three times.
The seat measures 14 1/2-15", comparable to a 17.5" dressage saddle.
It weighs 9#'s, has a wide tree, narrow twist in the seat, and has billets for an english type girth.

Sadly this saddle fit my horse well, but was just not as comfortable for me as my Wintec Aussie saddle is. I wanted a much lighter saddle, and I thought this one would be the ticket.

Has a Dupont saddle tree, Bayflex foam that does not compress over time or need reflocking, Xchange gullet plate system, and balanced billet system that has a ring to add an extra billet strap if needed.
Designed for short-backed, gaited Icelandic horses, this saddle would be perfect for other gaited or short-backed breeds. It is incredibly comfortable with a medium deep seat, supportive knee blocks, and a close-contact feel.
It is lightweight and has carried me through miles of steep backcountry, but I've switched to a small treeless saddle and this saddle is too nice to sit unused.
In excellent used condition - cleaned/conditioned regularly and stored inside, no major scuffs or scratches and I've always used a seat saver to protect the seat.
